Ragazzo, Vincenzo

Vincenzo Ragazzo was born in 1971 in Bari (Italy), lives and works in Cascina (Tuscany - Italy), graduated in medicine, exercises the profession of paediatrician. His passion for the painting was born in tender age when close to his father, painter amateur and art collector, attends galleries and exhibitions where he knows some of the most important names of the 20th century art. Classical studies involved him more and more, approaching him to the classical world of painting, allowing him to deepen his artistic culture. Self-taught, he begins painting by reproducing ancient works, often interpreting the figure with his personal and simple style.
For a long time his activities are concerned with landscapes and portraits, manifesting a good anatomical acquaintance and an innate sense of colour. The watercolour along with the acrylic painting, is one of his preferred way to propose and to interpret the nature and the figure. Later he matures a visual perception of the image, abandoning the figured heritages and aligning to a painting of colour and symbol that leads to the image for feelings and states of mind. The colour becomes therefore the main element that joins the works to the truth and the customs of the life. Successively, in addition to colour, he starts to employ other materials which he assembles on the wood by giving life to rich matter and three-dimensional works, where nature and poetry are melt in a unit full of significances and feelings.

Vincenzo Ragazzo est né à Bari en 1971, vit et travaille à Cascina (Italie), passé la licence en médecine, exerce la profession de pédiatre. Sa passion pour la peinture est né en tendre âge lorsque à suivi du père, peintre amateur et passionné collectionneur d'art, prend à fréquenter des galeries et des expositions où il connaît quelques-uns des noms plus importants de l'art des 900. Études classiques l'impliquent toujours de plus, en lui approchant au monde expressif classique, en lui permettant d'approfondir sa connaissance artistique. Autodidacte, il entame à peindre, en reproduisant des oeuvres anciennes, souvent en interprétant la figure avec un style personnel et simple, déjà précédente d'une choisie expressive bien définie. Pour beaucoup de temps alterne son activité dans la production des paysages et des portraits retraites, en manifestant une bonne connaissance anatomique et un sens inné de la couleur. L'aquarelle, outre la peinture acrylique, est un de ses modalités plus directes pour proposer et interpréter la nature et la figure. Ensuite il mûrit une perception visuelle de l'image, en abandonnant les héritages figurés et en s'alignant à une peinture de couleur et symbole qui reconduit à l'image pour sensations et états d'esprit. La couleur devient ainsi le principal élément qui unit les oeuvres à la réalité et aux coutumes de la vie. Successivement, elle entame employer outre couleur autres matériels qui assemble sur le bois, qui préfère à la toile, en donnant de la vie à des oeuvres riches de matière et pour certains aspects tridimensionnels, où la nature et la poésie se fondent dans un ensemble plein de significations et sentiments.
